Sellebrity [x] is a film/documentary directed and created by the celebrity photographer Kevin Mazur and it shows how obsessed our society is for the gossip culture and it features celebrities interviews examining the price we pay as a society for indulging our curiosity with celebrity gossip culture. And how they deal with it, there’s no more privacy. The most interesting part is exactly at 2:10, when the narrator says: We build someone up in order to tear them down. In this exactly moment, it first shows an extremely beautiful and healthy Lindsay Lohan at the red carpet of an event in 2006 and how praised and loved Lohan was in that time. In the next second, it shows Lohan in the courthouse and arriving at the court. Lindsay Lohan is exactly the  biggest example of someone who was build up in Hollywood, people created an image of her as the young and beautiful girl from Disney films that every single person on earth used to love, but, in the moment that Lohan was off the track and her personal life was constantly in the news and her numerous problems was more important than her career, people started to hate and bash her image and her life. No one ever thought for a moment that addiction is a disease and living a life growing up in front of a world that only wants you to fall down is harder to recover yourself than you can imagine, probably her and the others celebrities doesn’t know what privacy means anymore. But in the end, what everyone says is: They chose this life and they need to handle it. Stop for a moment and think, do they? Just because they chose to be in the entertainment industry doesn’t mean they chose to have their lives exposed that way.
