The battle between east and west waged on during Sunday night’s NBA game at Staples Center, as the Los Angeles Lakers faced the New York Knicks. Celebrity fans for both sides were present to cheer on their teams: Jack Nicholson took his usual court-side seat to root for the home team alongside actor Adam Sandler, while director and diehard Knicks fan, Spike Lee, donned a Knicks jersey and supported the Lakers’ East Coast opponents. Lindsay Lohan, though an LA resident, cheered on the visiting team, sporting a Knicks hat as she sat beside jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad. Other stars in attendance–like Will.i.am, Simon Baker, and Michelle Trachtenberg–were more incognito as they enjoyed the game from their respective court-side seats. The Lakers beat the Knicks 109-87.

Lindsay Lohan made her first big public outing since leaving rehab earlier this month, and it was a big appearance for sure, as she showed her New York pride at a Los Angeles Lakers game.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Palm Desert Police Department officials believe Lindsay Lohan was under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at Betty Ford.

As TMZ first reported, the PD believes Lindsay committed violations of her probation — apart from the alleged December 12 battery.

As the world knows, Miss Lohan was sprung from the Betty Ford Center this week were she spent a few court ordered months drying out, sobering up and–Your Mama hopes–getting her damn head screwed on straight. By all accounts and about a billion reports Miss Lohan and her unnaturally turgid kisser did not return to the excessively cluttered 2-bedroom apartment in a Hollywood hi-rise that she’d been renting the last year or so but rather to a glass fronted contemporary single family house in Venice last listed with an asking price of $7,100 per month.
