As the capital Delhi prepares to host the Commonwealth Games, she talks to young boys just rescued from factories in the slums. When she learns that many have been sent away with traffickers by their own parents, Lindsay sets off to find out why. In West Bengal, parents, child victims, and a former trafficker share their stories and reveal the desperate poverty which fuels this cruel trade in children. As India’s economy is booming, Lindsay asks what can be done to stop this abuse.

i had no idea she was an indian….
this is just a money and fame earning documentary…there are thousands of it going around ! this comes to light cuz linsay lohan is doing it.. and all of this after slumdog millionaire ?…darn watta joke!
yea i would actually like to know when would they get their compensation from the Indian government!…the reason why kids have to work is cuz they have to feed their poverty stricken families at home!….and the reason why its poverty stricken because the politicians choose to eat our tax money than the welfare of the public!…

Thanks for posting this video. Poverty is the basic reason for this. A one thousand year of foreign rule( Mugals,Dutch,Portugal,British etc ) had made India Bankrupt. But now we are working hard to turnaround this situation. It is very easy to blame from outside who leads a luxurious life. Yes of-course India is going soft on laws but this is gradually changing. Trust me this is far better than 20 years back.
These poor kids don’t have much option. There definitely will be exceptions among those kids, but that cannot be used as the yardstick.
It is easy for anyone from the 1st world to go to a 3rd world and make a documentary on poverty and put a drama of care. People who really care are joining togather to fight the evil bankers, from where all evil sprouts. Indian/Sonia government, who we think should do be doing good of the people, are nothing but henchmen of the New world order/Banking elites.
Don’t expect a hungry slave not to steal. The evil center is elsewhere which unless fixed will not yield any real result.
