who cares what gayle king thinks her opinion is a NON factor. I LOVE what oprah said. give lindsay a chance.. if she fails, well, thats her bad.. its her failings NOT anyones right to poke fun of her. until YOU personally struggle w/ addiction STFU ?

Adults don’t know what to do with their paychecks half the? time so having that kind of money as a kid is a disaster waiting to happen. Especially with no guidance. Of course she would be out of control.

I agree with you but I think it probably was guidance. Lindsay had no one to help her whereas the other actors you’ve just named most? likely have a much stronger support system.

I for one am sick of hearing about Lindsey. what is all the buss. everything she does is watched. shame on oprah it is? all about ratings. she really was a child star who really should have done something else in her adult life

Shame on all of you who thought Lindsay was gonna suicide/overdose/die. I never for one second? thought that because I know she’s stronger and smarter than that. She had a warm and happy childhood and when you get a taste of happiness like that, you can never truly experience total hopelessness because you know you can always get it back. That is why she never gave up. Congrats on beating life, Lindsay! Stay strong and happy! <3

Are you serious? Saving 7million dollars at age 18?? Look do not kid yourself. Support system? she didnt have one. No one to even tell her no. Be serious

the only journey and path opera cares is the one leading to her bank to cash in her millions! you have to be an asshole? to believe she even cares! lol

@Brenna Gillian matthews well Oprah did say that noone? helped Lilo at 17 years old at 7mil. Emma Watson & the others do have a different support system.

Though I appreciate Oprah being nonjudgmental, some of these kids are still disgraceful & so is their behavior. If I had 7 million at 18,? you can be sure I’d be saving it & working hard! Look at Dakota Fanning, for example, or Josh Hutcherson. Daniel Radcliffe & Emma Watson. Those were 18-year-olds with the same amount of money, if not more. Don’t know what kind of “guidance” they had, but didn’t go off the rails. Not sure if it’s age, fame, money, or guidance. I think it depends on the person.
