I do understand what Dr. Drew was trying to say. I watched a loved one slowly kill themselves with meth, knowing that because they are legally a ‘responsible adult’ there is nothing you can do to help them unless they choose to help themselves. The problem is when hard drugs are involved they cannot make that choice, the drugs won’t let them; so what options other than trickery and force are you left with to save them?

Where did this statement come from? Everyone especially Dr. Drew knows that you can’t make someone want to get sober that is something they have to do for themselves.

What that ENTIRE segment glossed over was the statement “If she were my daughter”. If I thought my daughter was on the road to potentially kill herself because of drug, there is NOTHING I wouldn’t stop at to stop her. Even if it were illegal, and could result in my imprisonment. I can’t imagine any father feeling otherwise.

That is creative. But our legal system’s a joke. They won’t treat her, they’ll just rob her of as much money as they can and make her problem worse.

@pokermon919 . My idol is Steve Nash if he became a drug addict I still wouldn’t touch drugs.(I’m a 16 year old boy). You are telling me if a girl who, lets say is a little younger than me saw their idols take a bad path they’d do it too. I understand little 5 year olds mimicking whoever they like, but there’s a point where you just blame the parents.

So what? Dr. Drew makes some sense. This girl’s life is falling apart and nobody is getting through to her. He’s basically saying he’s willing to go to drastic measures to help her. What would all you critics be saying if Lohan died next week of an overdose?

I don’t understand why people are all up lohans business? If she wants to do shitload of drugs why not? It’s a victimless crime and I don’t see everyone jumping down Ozzy’s throat for his admitted drug use.

It’s time people get over this mentality that just because someone does illegal drugs and parties they need an intervention. Meanwhile 90% of the people having the intervention are on legal drugs like Oxycontin, Prozac, or Ritalin… I call bullshit.

Dr Drew is a very smart guy. He probably just said something random to make his point about how to fix all these out of control teen queens. If you ever watch love line you’d know how awesome Dr. Drew is.

If he had any credibility, he wouldn’t comment as an expert about people he does not treat. He’s always got a “professional” opinion about these people for the affect on his own pocket book. He’s a hack for personal gain.
