While he talks a good game about freedom, liberty & tyranny – he barely mentions what they are. Tyranny of taxes? We’re paying less taxes now than we were 20, 40, 50 years ago.
But more importantly, the problem is NOT the Fed nor banking institutions. They are merely the outgrowths of the capitalist system. Blaming the Fed for all our economic problems is like blaming a cold brought on by a cancer that weakened your immune system.
The real problem is corporations and their legal recognition.
This video is the epitome of the underlying problem of Libertarianism.
The speech, sadly, was not as impressive as some suggest. People have the nerve to call Pres. Obama an empty suit when he speaks, but this guy’s speech was full of empty platitudes and a confused message and the audience along with YouTubers eat it up.
I guess it just goes to show that Libertarians will be impressed easily if you just throw in Thomas Paine quotes and lots of references to “Freedom” and “Tyranny.”
