LOS ANGELES — Lindsay Lohan has confirmed on her Twitter page that she failed a court-ordered drug and alcohol screening, and she said that if asked, she is ready to appear before the judge in her case and face the consequences for her actions.
In a series of messages posted late Friday, the actress said “Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test.”

UPDATE: After initially denying it, Lohan has confirmed she failed.
PREVIOUSLY: TMZ and People are reporting that Lindsay Lohan failed a court-mandated drug test last week, and perhaps more than one, for cocaine and another unnamed substance.
If true, she could face 30 days in jail, according to the terms of her probation. Lindsay was released from jail last month after serving only 14 days of a 90-day sentence for violating probation for her 2007 drug case.
A D.A. spokesperson told TMZ that her office has not been “officially notified” of the test results.
For what it’s worth, Lindsay tells Us Weekly that the drug test report is untrue.
“I’m fine,” she said. “They’re all nuts.”

While the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards lacked the surprise entertainment of last year’s show, there were still some funny moments both on and off stage. The show started with a cold opening sketch featuring none other than recently released from jail/rehab Lindsay Lohan and VMAs host Chelsea Handler.
While Handler makes her way to her dressing room before the show, constantly dodging butt slaps from various male performers (of course), she is confronted by Lohan who demands to know if Handler’s been drinking. Handler denies having any booze in her cup, but that doesn’t stop Lohan from investigating with force, and giving some advice as to why drinking can be bad for your career. She should know, after all.
